I belong to a strange organization. It's called Dagorhir.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Dagorhir is a battle game, a foam-fighting sport, and to some, a live-action role-playing game.
If you have never heard of this before, or even if you have but still don't know much about it, you may be thinking that it is probably only for people that play DnD and read Lord of the Rings and have been social outcasts their whole life. What could there possibly be in this weird game for me, you may ask yourself.
To which I would hypothetically respond, what about this does not sound like fun to you?
Anyone that likes playing sports in general would like Dagorhir. It is a tough game, mentally and physically. There's a huge community of fighters in various organizations all over the country. You get friends, fun, and outdoor activity, and to me, that is the ultimate winning trifecta in life.
Still don't want to try it? Afraid you'll get made fun of? Yeah, people drive by our practices and honk their horns and yell pretty ignorant things occasionally. But so what? Really. So - flipping - what?
If you're interested in joining in on some good times playing around outside with some interesting characters, come to a battle or practice and say you want to play. You will be welcomed.
